  As founder of Logos, One by One, I started this journey in 2007, when I saw firsthand the tremendous needs of children in Uganda, East Africa. Having traveled there on three separate occasions to visit my daughter and her family who were resident missionaries in Uganda, I became convicted that the Lord was prompting a desire in me to serve those children in some capacity. 

I am originally from Wilmington, Delaware and my educational background was in ministry. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Family and Community Services, a Master of Arts in Religion, and extensive graduate work with a certificate in Pastoral Counseling.  

Career wise, my husband James Rose and I worked in a family business called The Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre in Wilmington, Delaware, where we ran a multi-faceted entertainment complex. We raised three wonderful daughters and now have three wonderful son-in-laws and ten grandchildren. During this period of time, I continued my education and worked in ministry. 

The actual ministry with Logos, One by One started in 2012, when we began teaching African children the Word of God. Alexander, the orphan my daughter raised, is our gifted native missionary to the African children. He is ideally suited for his position with his bilingual skills, his passion for the Lord and his love for these children.  

We have seen the ministry grow, and we now see the need to expand our teaching to more villages and to the Batwa tribe. Our primary needs financially are to add more Ugandan teachers and to purchase a used rough terrain vehicle to provide safe travel to the ministry locations. The secondary phase of our ministry is to provide school fees for as many children as we can, and hopefully, build closer schools for village children to attend. We hope to create nurses’ stations within them to minister to the minor medical needs of the community.  As curriculum, we hope to insure that these schools will be vocational schools as well, to enable these children to be self supporting in adulthood. 

In all, it is our desire to seek God’s provision and give Him all the Glory for His work in Uganda.
