Our Story

Our Story

The vision started in the early 2000’s as we took trips to see our daughter and her family in Uganda, where our daughter and son in law served as missionaries. They had taken in an orphan teenage boy named Alexander, whom  they loved and mentored. He grew into a devoted man of God, with a desire to help other children in Uganda.

God put a desire in my (Eva’s) heart to begin a ministry to chlldren somehow, someway.  Alexander and I prayed and dreamed together for five years – to no avail. No doors seemed to open. God prevailed on my heart during this time, saying to me with the nudging of the  power of the Holy Spirit, “JUST START”.

I believe that God laid it on my heart that the most important thing that we could do for these children was to give them the saving message of Jesus Christ. So we simply BEGAN. We taught children’s Bible classes in different places, simply gathering children in outside locations by a tree or an alley by a home.

Alexander was the Ugandan teacher, who could speak their language and he was accepted by parents and children, who recognized him as a native to their area. I, Eva Rose, am the American Director and I organize our work and set standards and methods. I sought legal IRS status as a public charity, which we  received in 2014. We started teaching 4 classes a month. Now we are teaching 12 classes and we are expanding to more classes with  additional teachers.  We rejoice at this opportunity to spread the gospel!

Funding is our biggest challenge, of course. We have no American salaries. All of our donations are sent to Uganda. We believe God has ordained this ministry and we are being faithful in its expansion. We seek His daily guidance, and it will be through His power that it grows. Please consider praying to God for your direction in joining to help this ministry.

What we are saving for:

  • A used rough terrain vehicle – to travel thru primitive roads to the villages and pygmy settlement.
  • Salaries for additional part time Ugandan teachers to expand our reach.
  • Bibles and materials to aid in teaching.
  • School fees for Ugandan children.
  • Funds to establish minor care clinics in village schools.
  • Protein supplements for Ugandan children.
  • Funds for adequate Ugandan computer equipment, phones, and cameras for reporting on the ministry.
